[Kyoko sees the laser and leaps into the air to dodge it. She then throws some smoke bombs at the big eye to try and blind it.]

*As the Laser fires, Evangeline decides that it's time to remind people that she is hax. Turning directly towards the robot, she raises a hand... And the very ground beneath several of the Angels seems to jump, enough ice rising up to probably freeze a few of them solid, and more importantly, prism the laser out into near-uselessness.*

Cut a path and get moving! If they have to chase us, we can get out of here no problem.

[Pamela apparently has other ideas, as she disappears into one of her portals and appears overhead; launching a number of magical swords at the celestials before disappearing into another portal. She appears this time directly above the firey haired angel, descending quickly with her sword poised to strike]

[The laser is huge, and hard to dodge-Kyoko's smokebombs are burned out of the air almost instantly, and even Evangeline's ice was melting. Fortunately, huge clouds of water vapor that were produced were both scalding hot and obscuring the area, providing a bit of cover for everyone.

Pamela on the other hand, is now trying to strike at a celestial who is sufficiently made of fire to clear her own space in the mist by heat alone. Worse yet, she'll find her advance checked as first several of the celestials buff their leader, who then pivots and executes a textbook Dimension Slash, matching Pamela's top level skill with a technique of her own.]

Rally! To me, soldiers, to me!

[It was a common mistake that Mindy Macready ran into danger much like her girlfriend Ruffnut. In truth, when it came to life risking, she actually thought a lot more than most people imagined she would. What tended to drive her to recklessness was sheer bravado: after working her ass to earn her strength, she made sure people knew she still had it.

In this situation Hit Girl knew Pamela was quite possibly out of her league, and that even with Evangeline on their team, this would be a hard match. Now the question came down to this: would Mindy run with Kyoko under subterfuge, attempting to work out a truce? Would she lend a hand to Evangeline?

NO! Why be typical? Instead she readied her barrier Jacket Big Daddy and moved to intercept the slash aimed at Pamela. She would have to see what became of things later. In the meantime, she still had some magic up her sleeve and her staff ready to zoom out if needed.

[Kyoko jumped high into the air, above the clouds, untill she was but a twinkle in the sky. A few moments later, she came streaking down from the heavens, doing a flaming dive kick at the giant laser eye robot.]

Excuse me, it's rude to fire lasers when we are trying to end this peacefully!

*Evangeline looks more than a little pissed at the choices the group is making, to say the least. Can no one take a hint to flee around here?!*

*And then Evangeline throws a large blast of ice at the burning angel, trying to knock their strike off-angle so it doesn't drop both Pamela and Mindy.*

[Pamela... really doesn't have time to say anything else before she reflexively takes her next course of action: Portaling before she can accidentally strike Mindy]

[She appears a small distance away, only able to watch what unfolds next with Mindy...]

[The giant robot takes a lot of damage from that kick-but a lot is relative. What would break a human's neck and send a head flying across the room, wasn't even able to crack the optic glass over it. It instead raises one of it's giant hands to engage the tractor-beam fist to punch at Kyoko with, while it acquires and fires at Evangeline again with it's laser.

More troublesome, Mindy just leaped into the path of a Dimension Slash-and while Evangeline turns it somewhat, there's no way to evade all that force, and there's plenty of cutting power left. Her armor is good-but this will go right through and get to her fleshy human body. And even if she dodges, she's exposed herself to a dogmatic and aggressive angel who's looking to finish the job with four feet of broadsword.]

[Well its thanks to Evangeline that Mindy isn't dead, that much was good. Of course, the hit is definitely enough to send her back a good feet, so aside from one hell of a cut across her body there is also the major head trauma of banging into the ground several times, her body singing all over. It was really a good thing she was used to getting hurt and banged up, otherwise she would be pretty unconscious now. At Evangeline's urging, she held up a hand, groaning, Volent. Levitatio. Scopio, Volent.
