Because it is being given to you [Action]
[Mir has made good on her threat, and is now teaching classes-maybe you have been fortunate enough to sign up for this strange tuition, or maybe she's just grabbed you out of some fucking around you were doing and hauled you in to sit at a desk and be bored.
Oh, and the classes she's teaching? Everything from some strange language called Hymmnos, to choir and band, and advanced mathematics and quantum physics/the magical Theory of Everything. Heaven help you if you fall asleep durring the lecture-but some of her stuff is rather innovative and interesting, so maybe you can remain attentive.
Indicate if you've been hauled in, are here of your own volition, or just passing by. And maybe even what class you'd like a lecture on. Though due to small class sizes, it's more like tutoring.]

It seemed funny enough, so she snuck in, to watch the flexagon lecture. Soon, she was amusing herself with folding flexagons with her origami paper, covering her rustling noise with, well illusionary non-noise. Huh.
Funky flexy hexagons, those.]

[Not that she had even tried to be invisible or anything.]

For one, I've noticed you can do pretty connected patterns if you draw things right. [She had drawn knot-like patterns on the individual sides, which looked like they were connected even when the folding 'twisted' the triantles.]
no subject
[Flip, fold, tweak...and suddenly those patterns are now connected in a different way. More like a star than a knot.]
How's that?

[Fortunately, she hasn't taken any languages beyond Common and Draconic, so she has plenty of language slots left to learn Hymmnos]

The first step however? Learning the letters and how to write your name.]
You need to put a dot in the first letter, right here.
no subject
E-er, right... I-I knew that...
[she totally didn't, but that's just how Ixie is sometimes. Now she's dotting that letter!]

[Then why'd you miss the dot, Ixie?]
no subject
[The dot is pretty important, but Mir won't say anything right now.]

It can also be stunningly beautiful if you look at things the right way. And this is one of those theories, like Quantum mechanics that is strikingly beautiful and terrifically hard to think about.]

Enough to horrify and sicken any average demons whom may have been drawn into the class against their own will]

Fair warning though, you've just stepped into a 500 level class.
no subject
Heh, No matter what difficulty it is I'm always up for the task! I'll just need to level grind endlessly if I find myself falling behind.
no subject
Well I hope you can keep up-this is foundational Wave-Theory. Now, the reason it's called Wave theory is...
[Lecture start! Its starting small, but the sylabus that Mir hands out lists three books for the class, one of them written by herself.]

These books look totally awesome! Let me get the one you wrote autographed ok? I've never met an author before!

It is very scientific, and the math lurking just under the surface may be just a bit out of reach...for mathematicians.]
Obviously, any healthy organism has a steady, predictable output of Static H-waves, but in times of sickness, injury or distress, the level can drop precipitously.
no subject
...And what the hell is an H wave?

[And shortly thereafter, Mir starts to disappear down a jargon-hole talking about Granithode and wave bands and shared consciousness fields and not caring if any of this goes over your head.]
