Hey.

So during this tournament thing I got to try sushi for the first time. Mind blowing.

Which got me wondering about what other foods I've never had before. So...I want some.

So tell me about your favorite foods, what they are, what they're made of, anything I should know before I ask Mindy to recreate them and so on.

For the record before I left home my favorite food was eel jerky, lamb stew and honey soaked blueberries for dessert. If you need me to explain those things to you...well too bad, I never learned how to cook.

Yes and...Barbecue what? Isn't a Barbecue like...a type of grill?

It's more a kind of cooking that you can do on a grill with any kind of reasonably tough meat to render it tender and delicious with rich smokey goodness.

But I know how to make soda with that same flavor.

...So you want the soda or the actual meat? Because I only carry the soda with me.

[A bottle of violently blue carbonated beverage is offered-the label has a piece of bacon on it.]

[Fumbled, scrambled, finally catches the bottle with both hands]

[Opens it up and sniffs it curiously]

[If she didn't open that slowly she'll get a surge of soda bubbling out into her face-though that still works for getting the smell and taste of it-it's meat and sugar and salt and smoke and all kinds of flavors mixed together.]

[Sprayed in the face, doesn't seem to care shoves it in her mouth and chugs. When she swallows she's grinning brightly]

I want more!

Fruits and vegetables are delicious of course! even more so when cooked or steamed, they add to the flavor of meat when they're served together! Veggiburgers are absolutely wonderful Oh! And Tofu is good too, it's not only healthy for you, but it can be shaped and flavored to taste like anything, though it still isn't quite as good as the real thing sometimes.

Tofu...right. We had this kind of grey slop back on the meatship. That sounds like Tofu.

Slop? No, that sounds more like oatmeal... Tofu is more... blocky, kind of like a hunk of cheese, but it's definitely not cheese.

Huh...well I do like cheese.

Awesome! There's a bunch of different kinds too, there are even some so creamy, it's more like eating pudding. And it's so versatile it can be used as a dinner or a dessert! It's the ultimate food!

[Beryl procures a little bit of silken tofu with soy sauce and chopped green onions from her lunch]

Wow, I hope it can live up to the hype.

[She takes the offered Tofu and crams it into her mouth chewing and looking...well confused. Swallowing half before speaking with her mouth full]

Well it's...different that's for sure.

You shouldn't talk with your mouth full. It's totally uncool... But anyway, it is pretty different, and you can alter it's flavor more than any other food I've ever come across!

Well that's cool. I mean, it's like a spear. A spear can be used all sorts of ways. The more options the better.
