Each and every candidate has their own methods-but Rozalin has elected to take the high road. Or perhaps you might call it the High society road-since the only people with invitations to tonight's fancy party (plus guest) are members of the nobility and demonic Overlords. +1 guest each of course, it's only fair to allow escorts. Everyone else? Well, nobility can be purchased at the door-For the low, low price of two million Hel per place.

Once ushered through the doors, one might find that she's finally shaken off that Christmas-decor from her room and moved on to something more...well, it's just genericly rich. There are Prinnies running around in uniform with serving trays of wine, liquor and sake.

And when everyone has arrived and been counted, the doors will open and all will be ushered in for 11 tiny courses of gourmet food. Meat features heavily, and it's all the grand old dishes that bespeak wealth and power.

Even later, perhaps you might be invited for a private conversation and a game of cards, or chess, or some other light entertainment, if there is the promise of real power to be gained by such a thing. Or maybe just negotiating who gets how much of the vote-even if you loose the election after all, there is power in being a mover and a shaker.

Training for 'Yuki' has gone from bad to worse-her skills have leveled off and stopped improving well short of where they logically should be able to go. Tonight, lungs burning and already tired from the party, there is going to be a breakthrough-but not a good one.

Kyoko was ahead of Rozalin. She had a basket full of cleaning supplies in 1 arm, and a map in the other. She soon stopped after landing on a tree outside a house that was covered with graffiti.

"Ok Yuki, we're here. It's now time to clean up this house while the owners are asleep"

Rozalin was well behind tonight, having slipped and nearly fallen twice, her scarf torn and ragged at the ends, and one of her sandals mysteriously missing, probably stuck on a gargoyle's ear durring the first leg of their training. She cast a baleful eye at the house and then turned back to Kyoko.

"I don't see the point in doing this. You've had me cleaning and redecorating people's houses in the middle of the night for weeks now and I think I'm actually worse at sneaking around than when we started."

Kyoko saw the missing sandal and torn scarf, and quickly passed a new one of each to Rozalin.

"Being able to make other things vanish is a skill of a ninja. Normally ninjas steal or assassinate to make them vanish, but I find cleaning is a much better way to accomplish the same thing."

"As I said. We have been at this for weeks, and it's not working." Rozalin accepted the new sandal, but kept the scarf-even tattered, the enchantment on hers was much better at concealing her wings until she wanted them, a feat which would otherwise have required a full cape. "And while I am on the subject, I must say that this is some of the most demeaning work you have put me to."

Kyoko looked shocked at that last statement, and her face started to blush. "D-Demeaning?! B-but my Lady and I do this all the time. And I think you have been improving a lot. You only lost 1 sandal tonight."

[Well, Mindy should clearly arrive at such a function with Ruffnut, and Tewi... ... Tewi 1) Looked like a little kid, and 2) Wasn't suited to such high class functions]

[Ifurita had somehow managed to dress in a green dress, although she wasn't looking particularly secure. So many people!

The good part was that it reminded her a bit of that palace in El Hazard, that she had in-fil-trated once. Maybe she should set off a firework here, too? That'd probably help!]

[Rozalin is wearing a dress a step up from her everyday wear-trimmed with ermine and all the traditional trappings of Royalty, at least in the west. She has chosen to eschew a tiara or crown however, and has instead decided to double-up on rings-even a pinky ring for the peasants and supplicants to kiss. Kaguya is no supplicant however.]

An...interesting choice of escort you've made Kaguya. I hope she will avoid flying into any more of the fine crystal.

[Quite frankly, Mao has no idea why he's even bothering. High class stuff feels so stiff and annoying. But Rozalin invited him, and he wanted to a) see why and b) figure out if he can use it to his advantage.

Hmph. Not all the rich and famous have enough class and breeding to pull this off. Do not lump me in with common merchants and billionares. They aquire money simply buy their own force of will and ambition, a rather dirty and ignoble way of doing things. Peasants are more honest and respectable in some ways.

[Rozalin is wearing another one of her red/black/white dresses tonight, but here the white is not her petticoats but ermine trim and cuffs, the ribbons and bows are entirely absent, and it's a bit more compact than her everyday wedding-cake dress.]

I do not set standards-I merely keep them up. If we stop paying attention to standards, they will go away and cease to mean anything. Then how would we know who to nod politely to and who to snob?

And well, it is the season for the rich and powerful to rub elbows, even if a few of them are lacking in class.

These type of things were always weird to her, and she had always been sure that she wouldn't need to have a part until she actually went to a kind of high school or something. As it was, walking in high heels was still some kind of at that eluded her, and she had to walk much slower than she was used to. The pain she preferred to thinking though, particularly when there was a lot on her mind.

She was, sadly, without an escort this evening, as this was obviously one of those things vikings took no part in. Instead, she was standing about, drinking a glass of wine, looking rather solemn.

Rozalin was taking Mindy's measure with her eye, and up close, there would be little to impress the young heroine. The demoness was rather short, slim, and somewhat off balance. Her only good attributes were her looks and an eye that seemed to hide what was going on behind it. "You are not with anyone this evening? Rather strange."

Mindy raised an eyebrow. Huh. So this was one of those demons? She did look sort of small, but Mindy knew better than to judge demons by their appearances: Pram had looked scrawnier than she did, but was still able to take other demons on. She looked interesting though. She'd have to ask Zetta about her later.

"My girlfriend's not the type for this stuff unless she's crashing," Mindy said. Truthfully, she was the same, but after recent events she wanted to take things slower. "So I guess I'm stagging today."

Well, appearances did decieve. And nobody actually knew what Zenon looked like, a fact for which Rozalin never ceased to be thankful. If it was known who she was, it would be nonstop attempts on her life, day in and out. Still, she smiled slightly at that eyebrow, a smirk of 'I know you are up against a great mystery here and I enjoy it.'

"Well, I suppose that we are thankful for her abscence, even if you are not. I am Rozalin, Princess, Overlord, rightful ruler of Veldime, and daimyo of the Snow Clan. Have you tried the caviar?"
