Nope. Actual dragon who is my roommate. A bit of a magically skilled one to boot. Spits acid instead of fire, but you can't win them all. She's young, and doesn't have much in the way of a pile 'o' treasure yet. So I thought I'd help out.

Why does everyone get better roommates than me? Mine was a guy with a dog who was constantly filming a movie.

I'd rather have a dragon.

Hey, I'd take the movie-guy. Movies are awesome, especially when I write them.

Nah, I've seen her mother's hoard. And that is the proper word, for a couple of tons of precious metals and historical artifacts.

Because generally people can't become something just by wanting to be it. Dragons for instance. Or chairs or unicorns or couch cushions.

Well yes. But it can also be phantom limb syndrome-let's say I turn into a unicorn and want to pick something up. Naturally, I go for my hands, but oh wait, I have hooves. And then you very quietly freak out, because HOOVES.
