Well. Catherine Elstwhere apparently has some adjustments to make regarding her room. This place might actually be worse than some of the prisons she's been to, at least the ones that didn't involve kidnappers with chains and delusions of Catherine being a Princess.

She looks with dismay from her VERY full bags of luggage to her VERY small closet and sighs, doing Outfit Triage.

Then she logs on to her myPhone. And checks her student ID. And howls in outrage.

"Huraine's shapely bosom, I'm the Duchess Elstwhere, WHY is my title listed as 'Pervy Elf Fancier!?'"

Way to tell the entire dorm, Cath. Just saying.

"Asked for a fight." Her voice is flat. She puts a hand over her heart, looks to the side, and sighs. Consider it half a facepalm and half an eyeroll. "Yes, it was definitely your Veluna that I met. Optimized doesn't begin to cover her build."

"I am not ashamed of what I did for Lady Falwythwr, although I wouldn't put it the way it's commonly. But I am The Duchess Elstwhere first and foremost. I am Elstwhere's guardian, protector, and sovereign, and I will not have that denied to me!"

"Not mine, certainly. And I do not know about optimized, merely zealous. Most overlords command vast power without much subtlety or need for optimization." Rozalin harumphed and waggled a finger at the camera then, a warning against action. "Do not take that to mean they are easy marks-we simply are not slaves to fashionable builds. Far better to have real character, than to be a pure machine of destruction like a Majin or one of those new-model Androids."

"Did for her? Or to her perhaps? Should I fear for the safety of my own ears, they are quite elflike." Rozalin schooled herself and continued. "I understand your objections however-I am Veldime's Overlord, by blood and by steel, and I am not happy about being separated from it."

"Falwythwr and I were very close." No, she's not going to go into any further details. "And it seems that we are akin, that way. Duty and honor and accomplishment bound up in two words. Truly it is said that magic is in a 'spell.'"

"And I have no desire to enter fights I cannot win, fear not. Though I feel the urge to grind levels, suddenly. At least I've a good soloing class for it."

Rozalin wasn't going to press for details, just nod and smile slightly. "Yes, I do sense a certain degree of kinship here. Have you met Princess Kaguya yet? We have our little meetings now and then here, she and I." Now there could be three or more at their little tea-parties if they invited Evangeline.

"Grinding levels and the elegant art of leveling up are a time-honored tradition here. But there is seldom reason to go it solo. You should at least find someone willing to take you to the nurse's facilities and make sure you do not awaken with two left arms."

She winces a little at the title 'princess,' but stifles the expression. No one could be as bad as Princess Arugula. Yeah, keep telling yourself that, Cath.

"If you would do me the honor of introducing the Princess Kaguya, you would have my thanks. And if you are ever in need of a healer on your expeditions -" she pauses. "Forgive me for asking so bluntly, but as I would prefer not to deal you harm, should I be using Cure spells?"

She defaults to channeling positive energy, love-love energy even, and that's not fun for the demons and devils of her world to put it mildly.

Rozalin catches the expression though but misinterprets. "She is regrettably in exile, but as far as I know, is quite happy in her current state. And You will have that introduction at our convenience, I am sure.." The next question on the other hand, raised Rozalin's eyebrows slightly.

"You make a distinction? Well, I believe that cure spells should work-I dabble a bit in magic myself, but outside of ice and a bit of healing you could learn from a pamphlet, I know relatively little." How much healing could you learn from a pamphlet anyways?

The Duchess nods. "The distinction between positive and negative energies on my world matters. Curative spells will harm things that are not strictly speaking alive, and creatures of darkness. The theory is that they are so far gone that healing would return them to death, a sort of stack overflow error of the gods. Given the nature of this academy, I felt the question prudent."

"Ahh, this could be a problem." Rozalin frowned and tapped a finger to her chin. "I am unquestionably dark, but I am also unquestionably alive." Therein lay the crux of the matter. "I suppose I lean more towards the alive and not horrible and beyond redemption side. but it is hard to say without some sort of test."

"Easily done, if you've the time." She holds out one hand and murmurs a prayer, and her begins to glow with a warm, sunny light. "This is the weakest of all my healing prayers. It should merely sting if my power is incompatible with your nature."

"That seems reasonable enough-let me come and see, if you wouldn't mind holding that until I arrive."

Like most greater demons however, Rozalin can Teleport Without Error at will. Arrival takes hardly any time at all, though it is a bit...thunderous.

Ow. She winces at the entrance, but bows properly. Then, she lays her hand on your shoulder.

It hurts. Not much, a sort of stinging feeling, like the sensory static of a sleeping limb waking up again. It's warm, and it does make a minor cut disappear - the scab melting into a trace of scar tissue - but it still hurts.

"Oh!" Rozalin glances down at the hand and frowns, but just flexes her wings a bit. "It tingles, but it's tolerable-like I slept wrong on it and it's getting feeling back. It's very strange, but it seems to be effective."

She brightened then. "Though this does mean that short of monsters like Tyrant Overlord Baal, you should be able to heal most of the demons here normally."
