Experiment the second - How to fail at human relations, yuri edition

[Mao has... overtaken a classroom. Any and all previous people there have been thoroughly beaten and tossed out, and the place is now filled with lab equipment and various half-finished machines. He figured it was better than trying to do anything via the student council, thanks to Rozalin's advice. But now... what could he do?

He had dashed off due to something that he had noticed from recent goings on--or at least something he thought he noticed, but Mao's never been good about social cues or understanding. He does what he wants.]

So this... mysterious power of yuri. From what I understand, it's a particular subset of this 'love' quantity that I have somewhat grasped. But... what makes it different? It seems that this power has been bestowed on the Konoe's victory to the student council, and that girl protecting the dragon. 

Mwehehehehe, I bet if I could harness this power I could create something TRULY magnificent! Maybe I could make yuri rockets, or yuri lasers--no, GIANT ROBOTS that run on the power of yuri! For science!

Mwaaaaahahahahahahaaaaa!

[Somebody stop him before he does something stupid. Or don't, one of the two.]

[Mao can't get any studies if she takes it easy on him! Besides, he's fought Priere before (and she seems an awful lot like her in a way), he won't give up now.

Unfortunately that punch clocks him in the face. He was very thankful for his tough glasses as he stumbled backwards.] Gggrrrh! [He recovers quickly though.]

You're just full of surprises!

[He throws up his sword.]

[Sup Shine Beam attack.]

[While Mao activates Shine Beam attack... Veluna summons a swarm of meteors to come flying down at Mao]

[... of course, this does nothing to protect Veluna from Mao's attack-]

Mwahahaha~

[That's what Mao says BEFORE he notices the meteors screaming towards him. It's an endless layers of attacks from her, isn't it?

He snarls, dodging left, right, up and over them--one smacks him on the side though, and another crashes just over his head, causing him to flip onto his back. He lashes out in a whirlwind of recovery and counterattack, hoping to keep her away long enough to plan his next move.]

[She takes a bit to recover from the shine beam herself, so Mao's thrashing about to keep her at bay is unnecessary]

[... but once she's ready she does decide to come at Mao with that ridiculous sword of hers again]

[Oh hell no. Mao's not going to even try and fight head on with that sword. Instead, he's going to try and flip behind her and unleash a sword slash that way.]

[As soon as Mao starts flipping over her... she still swings her sword and smashes it into the ground.]

[Sadly for Mao, that's not all it does. It unleashes an explosion of dark energy centered on herself.]

[Not before Mao's sword hit, though-]

Ow!

[Again, Mao seems to have a hard time just predicting what the hell her powers do next. The attack hits, but he's send spiraling backwards.

...but yet again, now he sees. As he recovers, this person has lots of power.]

But this is an Overlord's power. It has nothing to do with yuri!

[To burn out his frustration, he'll simply keep rushing her from as many odd angles as he can.]

I said I wasn't sure how to use that power...

[Veluna's more than happy to keep the fight going... though she's just going to slam her sword down for another dark explosion if Mao's going to keep trying to use speed to get swipes in on her]

[Frankly, it does feel good to fight, but it won't do his research any good. Mao stops his speed attacks thanks to her dark explosions, catapults up to the ceiling on one of its bars...

...and just hangs there.]

Hmmmm... I know what's wrong with this picture! You need to draw the power from someone you have yuri feelings for! I can't run tests like this!

... well, my wife was brought here, too...

[She doesn't want to end the fight early...]

... ... maybe you're looking for something like this?

[She's a bit reluctant to draw from that particular set of powers, but... well, suddenly, Veluna's using Bound Heart on you now]

Wife?

[Mao can't really answer that, because now he finds that he's trying not to get eviscerated by hearts. Isn't that...]

You're a succubus?!

[It seemed that the attack did manage to knock him off his perch, and he's forced to land.]

Your yuri powers seem to outdo that student council president. [He swings his sword, unleashing a wave of energy.] I'm impressed!

Yeah, I married recently~

[She even has her wedding band on right now, if Mao cares to note]

Half-succubus, I guess? But mama always said I take more after papa.

[Now that she used a succubus power, her succubus wings are indeed visible right now. She doesn't have the horns, though.]

[... this time, she actually makes some effort to defend herself; slamming her sword down once again and causing her dark wave to slam into Mao's own power]

[Fascinating to learn, really. But Mao's not going to let her know that. Instead he's going to switch up by getting in the air and directing a Shine beam down below him at Veluna. However, his sword is still in his right hand.

The wedding band. No magic is coming from it, but doubtless the sentimental value of it means something! Mao takes mental notes, and continues the fight, though wondering when he can next get more... examples.]

[Veluna ... well, it appears she's quite flight capable even while lugging that huge sword.]

[... still, the shine beam does slow her down (and hurt quite a lot!)... but then, once the attack's over, she's heading up towards Mao with that thing poised to strike]

It's a moment, but Mao angles himself just right.]

Do or die!

[He stops shine beam and lets his magic flow into him. Yeah, he made up this move on the fly more like ripped it off of a video game, but it'll have to work!

He tosses his sword down, only to appear in a blur of illusions, each trying to drive a sword into the other overlord.]

Uwah...?!

[Unfortunately for Mao, that dark explosion power Veluna's been using? Doesn't require ground for her to smash her sword into. The sword merely releases the energy on its own when she swings her sword at the air]

[However, Mao did manage to inflict quite a bit of damage, and Veluna crashes unceremoniously into the ground]

Gauuugh!

[Yet again, Mao messes up in his predictions. Perhaps it's due to him trying to drag on for too long. He too kinda crashes to the ground, still smarting from charging right into those blasts.]

[... still, after all that, Veluna pulls herself back up]

This is fun!

[Mao steps up.]

I got suckered into fighting a battle maniac.

[He resumes a fighting stance.]

Tell me. What motivates you, heroine?!

I'm not a Heroine, I'm an Overlord.

[... her title actually reads Gigolo Overlord for some reason, even though she's hardly anything resembling a Gigolo]

I just like fighting.

[maocontent]

I see.

You're just like Priere.

So what motivates you to fight?

[He's actually going to say this while charging up and unleashing a giga-ice to her face.]

I fight because it's fun!

[sadly For Mao, she isn't magically defunct, not to mention attuned to fighty situations, so she knows Mao wants to keep going... so she's going to interrupt the powering up by smashing her sword down for another dark wave attack]

This is going nowhere. Let's finish this.

[Easier said than done. He needs more power and this girl will likely not sit still for him. He leaps over the dark wave, cancelling his ice and going with Shine Beam instead. The crisscrossing beams of light seem to lead him right to her.]

[Veluna leaps forward as the shine beam activates, somehow just narrowly dodging the initial beam that should have juggled her into the attack and finding a little opening in the maze of lasers that lets her avoid the attack]

[At the same time... a rather enormous beam of energy emits from her sword and she slices it downward toward Mao resulting in a pointless cutscene of her cleaving the world in half, even though no actual damage is done to the environment]

All according to keikaku*!

[Mao couldn't recover enough energy to fight Veluna head on, but she could certainly help. And drawing in that power of darkness, Mao crowed madly as he smashed deep into the floor, drawing all that cutting energy into himself. Yeah, it kinda hurt, but this was exciting, because he hadn't really pulled off this MP leeching trick before.]

Behold my true form and DESPAIR!

[And lo and behold, a hulking black demon rose from where Mao was before. The demon formerly known as Mao had become Vasa Aergun.]

RAAAAIIIIIGGGGGHHH!

[And yes, electric beam of Star induced death was sent Veluna's way.]

[*Note: Keikaku means plan, because Mao be trollin'.]
