He figured it was better than trying to do anything via the student council, thanks to Rozalin's advice. But now... what could he do?

He had dashed off due to something that he had noticed from recent goings on--or at least something he thought he noticed, but Mao's never been good about social cues or understanding. He does what he wants.]

So this... mysterious power of yuri. From what I understand, it's a particular subset of this 'love' quantity that I have somewhat grasped. But... what makes it different? It seems that this power has been bestowed on the Konoe's victory to the student council, and that girl protecting the dragon. 

Mwehehehehe, I bet if I could harness this power I could create something TRULY magnificent! Maybe I could make yuri rockets, or yuri lasers--no, GIANT ROBOTS that run on the power of yuri! For science!

Mwaaaaahahahahahahaaaaa!

[Nothing about the sword says yuri. But then again, Mao's not sure what exactly he's looking for. Best to see how long they can stretch out this battle.

He'll just open up by spiraling off the table he was standing on and aiming a Blast Finger to her feet, smashing the power of the stars in a wide AOE attack.]

[The blast roughs her up a bit, but she's unperturbed]

[She charges toward Mao, her sword starting to spark with dark energy before she suddenly stops a small distance away; slamming the weapon into the ground and causing a wave of black energy to fly at her opponent]

[Magic still flaring in his left hand, Mao presses out to block the attack--but dear lord is it powerful, pushing him back a considerable distance and only when he can deflect it does it end. He sends it spiraling off to his left.

Twirling his sword in his right hand, Mao begins his physical counter attack.]

I'm trying to harness and weaponize the power of yuri! I see so many using it, surely I could have fun wielding it as well!

Look, there's no way I can weaponize yuri by throwing a girl in a cage! If that was all it took, I would have had my giant robot by now!

But...that doesn't make sense, you clearly have no idea how evil works. My old master really did, so he got the princess a vacation and then tied her up somewhere so when the friend of the princess came and saved her it was all heroic and strong and stuff. Truly evil actions, aiding young love like this!

I think it'd work the same with yuri, right?
