Well. Catherine Elstwhere apparently has some adjustments to make regarding her room. This place might actually be worse than some of the prisons she's been to, at least the ones that didn't involve kidnappers with chains and delusions of Catherine being a Princess.

She looks with dismay from her VERY full bags of luggage to her VERY small closet and sighs, doing Outfit Triage.

Then she logs on to her myPhone. And checks her student ID. And howls in outrage.

"Huraine's shapely bosom, I'm the Duchess Elstwhere, WHY is my title listed as 'Pervy Elf Fancier!?'"

Way to tell the entire dorm, Cath. Just saying.

"Like wonder why I'm in a school for demons? I suppose it's a level appropriate challenge, but really."

She tilts her head at you. "I am afraid you have me at a disadvantage."

Fighting yet? Okay, that does it. If you put it that way, she's just going to take a surprise round.

She points her wedding band at you - the one with the rose design of Huraine worked into it to make it a holy symbol? That one - and screams "LUCENT LANCE!"

A blazing pure beam of L*O*V*E pours out of her holy symbol right at you. Heads up, Overlord!

[she's a bit surprised by the sudden attack, but at the same time-]

[Yup, she really said that. She counters by suddenly hoisting a huge sword from out of nowhere and smashing it into the ground, intercepting the love love attack with a wave of dark energy]

"The disadvantage is apparently severe."

"Woman, if you're able to simply deflect an Elemental Ray you have at least fifteen levels on me as they are reckoned in Aerisland. Perhaps I would have the shade of a chance with the Awesome Fellowship before me, but alone?"

She sighs. "I truly hope this isn't another kidnapping. I do hate those."

Levels are overrated. I defeated my wife when she was higher level than me.

... and I didn't kidnap you. It's just a crossover game.

It's an accusation.

My class isn't "Custom". It's "Overlord".

[She brings up her status screen for the Duchess to see... except, yeah, it says Gigolo Overlord instead of Overlord]

Catherine tries to keep a straight face. She almost, but not quite, succeeds. "It is heartening at least to see that the titles we are given are all equally scandalous, and that I'm not the sole victim of this cruel sense of humor."

I inherited it from papa when I became Overlord, it's not because of this place.

He customized it...

[Wait Veluna, why are you suddenly using custom(ize) properly after misunderstanding the accusation...?]

"Then you're from a long line of royalty. And munchkins." Not a term she would have used before meeting the Fellowship, but the concept of 'person who exploits the system' was one that this noblewoman understood very well.

"I don't suppose combat training is among the courses offered here? I suddenly feel the urge to grind levels."

I don't know, I haven't tried going to class.

While this is true of the universities in the real middle ages, her tutor was also a special case.

It's the Netherworld. Students that don't go to class are honor students.

The teachers probably don't show up to teach, either.

You know, if she's quoting an antipaladin things are really getting to her.

[Shrug] Most demons have a funny sense of what evil is in the Netherworld.

"I see. It is gratifying to know that Lawful Stupid has a counterpart in the forces of darkness."

You should be careful of the demons that really are evil, though. Like my half-cockatrice brother.
